Introductions

I'll begin. My name is Jacie. I am a mom of 2 kids. I have a 2 year old boy and a 7 month old girl. I just moved to Utah from California and I've really been missing the sun the last couple months. I'm so ready for summer! I've been excited about this blog and the chance to share recipes, craft ideas, cleaning tips, fashion tips, sweet products I find, date ideas, gift ideas, new hair do's and makeup tips, and basically anything I find worth sharing with my sisters! And I'm excited to see what they have to share too.

I've been looking forward to this blog for a while now and I've had tons of ideas come to me that I think, shoot if only the blog was up and rolling by now I could share this. But now that it actually is I feel like all my little ideas aren't cool enough to be my FIRST post. SO, I'm going to pretend like our blog's been rolling for a while now so I don't feel any huge pressure to post an amazing thing for my first post.

I experimented yesterday with a
cake for Caden's birthday. I bought the ball shaped cake pan at Hobby Lobby and thought it would be super cool to make a basketball for him. Well, it cooked perfectly and would have made a great ball but I put vanilla pudding in the middle and it made the top half of the ball slide around everywhere. It turned out kind of funny. So now I have a different idea... what do you think?

I read today that the new "thing" is to buy offbeat oxfords. When I saw this I thought, "really?" No matter who is sporting them, I think they look ugly. What do you guys think? It would have to be with the right outfit, but I just don't feel like any of the examples in the picture are the 'right outfit'.  Would you sport oxfords?

  1. Great blog Jacie! Thanks for starting it up. I'm excited. I wasn't sure if I should respond to your post in my own post or by comment. I will post my intro as soon as I download my most recent pictures.
I totally was going to buy that ball cake for Kingston's first cake! But I figured I could use it for his second. Maybe I can borrow it! :) I like the second cake idea too. Plus it would be able to serve more people, since Caden isn't allowed to smash it this year. I'd love to see a pic of your attempted ball cake! haha. Don't the instructions even say to use pudding???

I think oxfords look stupid on women. The only person who could pull them off is someone like Taylor Swift. Super skinny and "emo" style. I found some shoes I want to try this summer instead of flip flops. I'll try and get a pic to post.

It's Ashley by the way...I can't figure out how to post with my email so I'm posting anonymous.
